Michele Acquafredda is a south Italian guy from Puglia (as reported by the NEW YORK TIMES – the Most Beautiful REGION in the world). The professional and personal growth is stimulating and admirable and finds its roots in fashion.
"I started by working in a small shop alongside master tailors who taught me all their
craftsmanship and tailoring culture. At the age of 25 I left PUGLIA and moved to a luxury holding
company where I refined my expertises, perfecting my professional path.
In 2020, with a cultural/professional background of 28 years behind me, I started a new adventure by creating MACQUA."
A contemporary, dynamic, refined brand, with a connection among TAILORING/SPORTSWEAR/SUSTAINABILITY, becoming a 100% MADE IN ITALY brand.
Its DNA is a mix of South the culture (the founder origins), values, sensitivity, freedom, justice, loyalty, peace, love and with particular attention to the environment using eco-friendly fabrics with natural fibers.
It is a true virtue of the founder himself, a multitasking creative based on quality that offers a luxury product at an accessible price.

MACQUA Milano is a new and unique brand, exclusively HAND-MADE IN ITALY, that includes total looks for both women and men, and Young and Adult.
It was founded by MICHELE ACQUAFREDDA, at the beginning of 2020, and takes the name from the fusion of M (Michele) with ACQUA (Acquafredda) and with Milano, the city considered by the whole world the birthing Mother of Fashion, who adopted Michele, and has hosted him for a long time, becoming the place where he decided to live.
MACQUA was born from Michele’s everlasting dream, a passional love, an unstoppable desire towards the MADE IN ITALY, and the Italian sartorial and hand-made ability, coming from centuries of history, well known and admired all over the world.
The BRAND is based on and boasts of thirty years of experience that the designer matured by collaborating with the most important Italian fashion houses such as DOLCE GABBANA – VERSACE – ROBERTO CAVALLI – LORO PIANA – PIACENZA CASHMERE – MISSONI – ITTIERRE S.P.A by managing, designing and coordinating collections – fashion shows – productions at the highest levels.
This experience takes its origins from a small laboratory in Bitonto, Puglia, Michele’s birthplace, where he had the chance to absorb the unique secrets of the local tailor masters, thanks to his curiosity, attraction, and urge towards excellence.
In 2020 he finally decided to step out of the collaborations with other brands to found his own brand, realizing the dream of his life and pursuing the path he had been aiming to embark on since his childhood: to create his own brand although the adversity and challenges that affect our society.
MACQUA is:
